On February 19, 2025, the European Union Application and Research Center organized a seminar titled “A Strategic Perspective on EU-Turkey Relations” with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Başak Alpan from Middle East Technical University. The seminar, moderated by Ambassador (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Ali Engin Oba, was attended by approximately 35 participants.
On February 11, 2025, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Ankara, Fahad Bin Assaad Abualnasr, visited our university along with the Cultural Attaché and his delegation. Ambassador Abualnasr delivered a speech on "Saudi Vision 2030," moderated by Ambassador (E) Prof. Dr. Ali Engin Oba. The conference was attended by 45 people.
The workshop titled 'Global Politics Teaching with Technological Excellence' was held under the moderation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevgi Balkan Şahin on 28-29 November 2024, with approximately 60 participants.
On November 5, 2024, Former Representative of the Arab League in Ankara Ambassador Mohammed El Fatah Naciri delivered a speech entitled “Palestinian Question and International Politics”, moderated by Ambassador (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Ali Engin Oba. A total of 45 people attended the conference both in person and via Zoom.

On May 30, 2024, the 4th-year students of the International Relations Department aorganized an event on International Relations Simulation with the moderation of Asst. Prof. Dr. Saffet Akkaya. The students provided information about the countries they governed during the simulation. Additionally, they explained how they solved international relations issues in the simulation environment.

The Head of the Department of International Relations, Ambassador (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Ali Engin Oba, had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. Mert Can Ay, 4th-year student in the Department of International Relations, and master's student Gülenay Tömek also participated in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
