Çağ University Students Engage with Industry Leaders: Sheraton Grand Hotel | Adana FIELD VISIT
Career-Oriented Experience and Meeting with Inspiring Leaders!

On January 7, 2025, fourth-year students of the International Business Management Department at Çağ University conducted a field visit to Sheraton Grand Adana as part of their Human Resource Management course, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Eda Yaşa Özeltürkay.

During the visit, the students were hosted by Mr. Ünal Sarıbaş, General Manager of Sheraton Grand Adana; Mr. Oktay Orel, Human Resources Director; and Ms. Fulya Ersoy, Human Resources Supervisor. The students gained comprehensive insights into the hotel’s human resources processes, sustainability practices, and organizational structure.

Presentations on recruitment processes, performance management, employee motivation, and sustainability strategies provided students with the opportunity to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Such initiatives play a crucial role in enabling students to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, equipping them with the necessary skills for their future careers. Career-Oriented Experience and Meeting with Inspiring Leaders!

On December 24, 2024, fourth-year students of the International Business Management Department at Çağ University conducted a field visit to the Tekinler Foreign Trade Ltd. & Pırlanta Pulses factory in Mersin as part of their Human Resource Management course. This visit was organized under the guidance of the course instructor, Prof. Dr. Eda Yaşa Özeltürkay.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into export processes, quality management, and employee motivation through a meeting with Mr. Baki Tekin, the third-generation visionary leader of the company, and Mr. Semih Akkılık, the Human Resources Director. In particular, the emphasis on exports of DIAMOND-branded products to Europe, North and South America, North Africa, and the Middle East provided students with a significant example of the dynamics of international trade. This field allowed students to observe industry dynamics firsthand and gain essential takeaways on innovation, international trade, and human resources management processes.We sincerely thank the Tekinler Foreign Trade team for their dedicated hospitality and valuable insights. Fourth-year students of the International Business Management Department at Çağ University conducted a field visit to BN Hotel Thermal & Wellness in Mersin on December 17, 2024, as part of their Human Resource Management course, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Eda Yaşa Özeltürkay. We extend our sincere gratitude to the BN Hotel Thermal & Wellness team, especially Ms. Ebru Boymul, Human Resources Manager, and Ms. Behiye Gül Cigerci, Human Resources Specialist, for their warm hospitality and for sharing their valuable expertise with us. During the visit, our students had the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into key human resources processes, including identifying training needs, post-training evaluation processes, employee management, motivation development, guest satisfaction-oriented service approaches, and innovative trends in the industry. We deeply appreciate the BN Hotel Thermal & Wellness team for their hospitality and support. Together with fourth-year students of the International Business Management Department, we conducted a field visit to CEVA Logistics' Adana facility on December 10, 2024, as part of the Human Resource Management course, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Eda Yaşa Özeltürkay. We had an unforgettable experience thanks to the warm hospitality and valuable insights shared by Mr. Mustafa Şahan, Regional Manager; Mr. M. Hakan Apaydın, Regional Human Resources Manager; and Ms. İpek Y. Doyanç, HR Specialist and Psychologist. Our students gained inspiring insights into CEVA Logistics' founding story, global projects, human resources processes, and field experiences. Events like these allow students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, equipping them with essential skills for their future careers.We sincerely thank the CEVA Logistics team for their hospitality and support.
