Mission

The mission of the Master's program in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature is to elevate the knowledge and skills of students who aspire to specialize in various fields of Turkish language and literature, including both traditional and contemporary Turkish linguistic disciplines, Folklore, Old Turkish Literature, Modern Turkish Literature, and Comparative Literature, to the level of scholarly expertise. By enabling them to conduct independent scholarly research based on their acquired expertise in their respective fields, the program aims to cultivate scholars who can address questions and issues encountered in their areas of specialization with a critical and interdisciplinary approach.

Vision

The vision of the Master's program in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature is to cultivate distinguished scholars who specialize in their respective academic fields and possess the ability to stay abreast of current research and issues within their disciplines. These scholars will be capable of conducting research at a level where they can address these challenges, both by adding new knowledge and finding solutions, thus contributing to the advancement of their fields.
