Within the framework of universal values, to train individuals who can carry out the documentation processes of health services by making use of science and technology, recognize the diagnosis codes of diseases, follow the outpatient and inpatient treatment processes, keep statistics of medical and administrative services, and provide all written and verbal processes in the assigned field, researcher, questioner and respectful.

Profile of Program |
The Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program aims to train intermediate staff in the administrative services of health institutions and organizations in the light of contemporary and universal values. Therefore, this program aims to train health personnel who can collect, organize, archive and provide service for medical documents formed in health institutions in accordance with scientific rules, and who can carry out contemporary secretarial services in clinics, polyclinics and offices. |
Educational Atmosphere |
Education and training are carried out in a formal manner. Due to the sufficient technological possibilities, distance education is also partially implemented. In addition, practical training is provided through units such as research centers etc. within the University. |

A student who completes the program;
PO-1. Contributes to projects and activities with a sense of social responsibility by following developments in science and technology with the awareness of lifelong learning and constantly renews himself/herself.

Takes part in the team to solve complex and unforeseen problems encountered in applications related to the field of health services and acts in accordance with organizational communication, management and organization, quality management and processes and assumes individual responsibility when necessary.
PO-3. Understands the importance of documents by comprehending the historical development of medical documents and focuses on problem solving

Measurement and Evaluation Methods |
Measurement and evaluation methods; types of exams and their contribution to course success grades, Çağ University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations and Senate decisions are determined.
Different methods such as homework, graduation projects, internships, midterm exams and final exams are used in measurement and evaluation.
In the evaluation of student success, letter and/or number based grading systems are used. |
Quality Assurance |
To monitor the quality of higher education programs;
- CoHE is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising the education and training and other activities carried out in higher education institutions.
- "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions prepared every year within the framework of criteria determined by CoHE are published. Reports containing quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions prepared according to these reports are also shared with the public by CoHE
- The “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report” is published each year by the CoHE, which includes academic, administrative and financial data on foundation higher education institutions. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by the CoHE
The quality assurance of the court clerical services Associate Degree Program is provided as follows: CoHE determines the minimum standards and criteria required for opening associate and undergraduate programs in higher education institutions.
The curriculum of associate and undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to students are determined by the Çağ University Senate in accordance with the basic principles determined by the CoHE on these issues.
Measurement-Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes that the Program will provide to the student is carried out according to the Çağ University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation, which was prepared in accordance with the basic principles determined by the CoHE on these issues.
Certification: Students enrolled in the Program receive an associate degree/undergraduate diploma when they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions.
Self-Assessment and External Assessment: In the context of continuous monitoring, Çağ University enters the “Internal Institutional Evaluation Reports” of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared by YÖKAK regarding the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions given by accreditation institutions authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is provided. YÖKAK carries out regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation. |
Enrolling Requirements |
To be placed in Çağ University Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program as a result of the central exam conducted by ÖSYM. |
Conditions for Qualification |
The graduation requirements for the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program are specified in the Çağ University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation. Accordingly, students can graduate if they pass all courses in the curriculum with a minimum letter grade of DD and achieve a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. |
Further Advantages |
Students who graduated from the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Associate Degree Program can apply to undergraduate programs based on the results of the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by ÖSYM. |

TDS-102 Medical Documentation
It is aimed to introduce the concepts of information, document, medical document, to give information about the importance and privacy of the patient file. It is aimed to gain the ability to carry out the applications effectively in line with the information transferred about the filing and archiving process in health institutions. In this direction, it covers the definitions, use, importance and reporting of medical documents and the application of medical record system and medical documentation automation system.
SAĞ-103 Medical Terminology
A student taking the Medical Terminology course: Introduction to medical terms (roots, prefixes, suffixes, general use of singular and plural noun forms, reduction in terms, general disease terms), terms related to the movement system, terms related to the respiratory system, terms related to the circulatory system, terms related to the urogenital system, terms related to the nervous system, terms related to the endocrine system, terms related to the blood and blood-forming organs, terms related to the eye, ear and skin; anatomical, diagnostic, symptomatic and surgical terms.
TRK-103 Turkish I
This course deals with the definition and characteristics of language, the relationship between language and culture, the classification of languages and the place of Turkish among the world languages, the historical development of Turkish language, the Turkish language, phonetics and sound events in Turkish, spelling, rules, punctuation marks and rules related to correspondence. Information about rhetoric, spelling rules, punctuation marks and composition, which enable feelings and thoughts to be given in a purposeful and harmonious expression, are taught theoretically and practically.
ING-105 English Language Skills I
Reading texts aim to motivate students with interesting and relevant content and provide them with examples of target grammar and vocabulary. The emphasis in grammar is on active participation in the learning process. The examples from the texts are separated and used as a basis for tasks that focus on both the content and the formal aspect of the target grammar area. Vocabulary is developed through exercises that put words into use. Listening, speaking and reading skills are developed through opening texts. Writing skills provide students with the opportunity to take control of the language and create different types of texts.
TBT-105 Basic Information Technologies and Keyboard Information
In the course; basic computer usage, ten finger keyboard usage and effective use of MS Office Programs are covered. The content of the course consists of the compiled information of these basic subjects. In this sense, these basic topics are transferred to the students and the transferred topics are reinforced with case-based applications in the lessons.
MAT-117 Biostatistics
In the biostatistics course; It is aimed to define statistics as a socio-technical system, to explain the concepts and objectives of biostatistics for the field, to deal with the relations with numerical health data and to gain the ability of analytical thinking, to comprehend the meaning of biostatistical data and to add statistical value to events.
TRK-104 Turkish II
In this course, the simplification process of Turkish, sound events in Turkish language, structural features are introduced, basic information about spelling rules and punctuation marks are given, basic features of written and oral expression are determined, and finally, petition writing rules are given for students to gain petition writing skills.
ING-106 English Language Skills II
As a continuation of ING 105, this course aims to enable students to understand the sentences and frequently used expressions associated with the topics that concern them most. (such as the most basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography and employment)
It also enables students to communicate in familiar and everyday situations, in basic and routine tasks requiring the simple and direct exchange of information, in order to describe in a simple way problems in situations of urgent need, their immediate environment and their own lives.
TDS-106 Public Health:
This course includes public health approach, epidemiology, women's health, sexual health, reproductive health and family planning, child and adolescent health, infectious diseases and immunization services, chronic diseases, environmental health, nutrition, elderly health, accidents and injuries, health in unusual situations.
TDS-108 Diseases Information
Introduction to diseases information, Endocrine system and diseases, Hematological system and diseases, Musculoskeletal system diseases, Cardiovascular system and diseases, Digestive system and diseases, Nervous system and diseases, Respiratory system and diseases, Urinary system and diseases, Skin diseases.
IYU- 116 First Aid and Applications
With this course, students learn first intervention methods in cases such as accident, injury, shock, poisoning, basic life support needs.
HUK-203 Introduction to Law
Basic concepts, right, law, equity, justice, property, personality, inheritance, debt, responsibility concepts, branches of law, types of cases, judicial organization, inheritance law, law of persons and distinctions of law will be discussed.
TAR-203 Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolutions I
The reasons for the failure of the reforms made in the last periods of the Ottoman Empire and their effects on the revolutions in Atatürk's period should be explained with examples. In the last periods of the Ottoman Empire, ideologies such as Turkism, Islamism, Ottomanism, Ottomanism, Westernism (Westernism), Socialism should be introduced, and the War of Independence should be managed by Mustafa Kemal as a process of ending the occupations and establishing a state based on national-people sovereignty.
TDS-203 Medical Secretarial Techniques
The concept of medical secretarial, Types, characteristics and duties of medical secretarial, Medical secretarial profession principles, rights and responsibilities, Medical secretarial and professional standards in legislation, The concept of professional ethics in medical secretarial, Stress management in medical secretarial services, Document management and filing archiving process in medical secretarial.
TDS-205 Health Services Management
Managers and management, management environment, managerial issues such as planning, organizing, directing and supervising will be emphasized and health institutions and services will be evaluated in this context.
ING-207 Vocational English I
The course aims to remind and enable students to use familiar, everyday expressions and very basic phrases that aim to meet the concrete needs of students, as well as to enable students to answer questions about personal details such as the things they own, the people they know, the place they live, to ask questions, to introduce themselves and other people, and as a result, to communicate slowly and clearly with the other person.
TDS-212 Office Management Techniques
Explanation of management-manager-bureau concepts, explanation of workflow communication and correspondence processes in offices, ergonomic organization of offices, time, stress, crisis and image management in offices, filing techniques in offices constitute the content of this course.
TDS-214 Hospital Information Systems:
It includes the development of computer use in hospitals, the concept and function of hospital information management system, departments that produce information in hospitals, information systems to support management activities in hospitals, easy-to-use and listing systems, financial information systems, material information systems, personnel data systems, confidentiality of patient information, diagnosis and treatment information systems, patient records, laboratory and pharmacy information systems, modular and integrated hospital information systems.
ISL-218 Entrepreneurship and Leadership
In this course, the concept, characteristics, types of entrepreneurship, leadership concept, theories, skills and entrepreneurial roles of leaders are introduced. New generation/contemporary entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship ecosystem, leader entrepreneur and its importance, innovative strategies are among the main topics covered.
ISL-220 Social Responsibility and Business Ethics
The theoretical part of the course deals with the conceptual and historical level of Business Ethics and Social Responsibility and current social responsibility studies. The practical part of the course is the preparation of a sample social responsibility project.
TDS-216 Graduation Project
It includes collecting, classifying, interpreting and summarizing current information about the field of Medical Documentation and Secretarial in accordance with scientific rules.
TDS-218 Vocational Internship
It is useful to be able to apply the gains in the university education process in business life. In this context, by taking the internship course, students perform their internships related to their fields and have the chance to transfer their experiences to practice in order to create a bridge between the education process and business life. In addition, these gains help them to easily adapt to the sector when they move to professional business life.
