How can I become a member of the library?
You can become a member of the library by filling out the membership form at the library or by filling out the online membership form on our website.

How can I borrow library materials?
Members of Çağ University need to show their Çağ University ID cards when borrowing materials. Non-members need to fill out the online membership form or the “Registration Form” available at the Lending Desk.

Do I need to bring the item to the library to extend the borrowing period?
Çağ University members can extend the borrowing period once through the online system available on our website.

How can I search the library catalog?
You can search the catalog by clicking on the catalog search option on the library's website or by using the search terminals available at the library. You can search by author, book title, subject, series title, call number, etc.

How can I use the group study rooms?
You can reserve group study rooms 1, 2, and 3 through the reservation system on the library's website.

How many materials can I borrow, and for how long?

  • Academic Staff: 10 books for 60 days

  • Graduate Students: 5 books for 30 days

  • Undergraduate and Associate Degree Students: 4 books for 20 days

  • Administrative Staff: 4 books for 20 days

How can I find the location of materials listed in the catalog?
Our books are classified using the LC classification system. You can find the call number on the back cover or the spine of the book.

What happens if I return borrowed materials late? Is there a fine?
A late fee is charged for overdue materials: 1 TL per day for regular materials and 2 TL per hour for reserved materials.

What are reference books, and how can I use them?
Reference books such as encyclopedias and dictionaries are used to meet specific information needs. They are not for loan, but can be borrowed for short periods (e.g., on exam days) upon presenting an ID.

How can I check which materials are registered under my name and their due dates?
By logging into your account on the catalog page, you can see the list of materials registered under your name along with their due dates.

Can I request materials that are not available in the library?
If a material is not available in the library, you can request it by filling out the "Publication Request and Book Form" on our website and sending it to kutuphane@cag.edu.tr.

What should I do if a borrowed material is lost or damaged?
If a borrowed material is lost or damaged, you must provide an exact replacement for the item. For more detailed information, refer to the library regulations.

Should I put the materials I used back on the shelf?
No, you should not put the used materials back on the shelf. Leave them on the table, and the library staff will return them to the proper shelves.

Is there internet access available at the library?
Yes, there are 54 computers with internet access available in the computer lab in the basement of the library.

How can I borrow books through interlibrary loan?
Academic staff can benefit from the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. They need to fill out the ILL form available in the "Services" section on the library's website and send the form to kutuphane@cag.edu.tr. The shipping fee for borrowed printed materials must be paid by the person requesting the material.

Can I access databases and electronic journals off-campus?
Members of Çağ University can access electronic resources off-campus using their Ubs credentials or by requesting access through our website's subscription databases.
